Kazakhstan places special importance on strengthening friendships with neighboring countries, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said during the 34th session of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, according to EDnews.

People of Kazakhstan have always treated their neighbors with great respect.The tradition of good neighborliness continues to this day. As a result of the traditions of the various ethnic groups living in Kazakhstan, we have merged into a united whole. We place great importance on strengthening friendship with neighboring countries," he said.Tokayev highlighted that Russia is Kazakhstan's main strategic partner and a reliable ally.

"Our cooperation with China is also deeply rooted. The Chinese people have never harmed the Kazakh people and will not do so in the future. The Kyrgyz living in the Alatau mountains are our brothers. From ancient times, we have respected the Uzbeks as our own brothers. The Turkmens are a brotherly people to us, and we honor our common ancestors. We also have sincere feelings for Azerbaijan, with whom we share the shores of the ancient Caspian Sea," he emphasized.

"In short, we maintain fraternal relations with all neighboring states. We have no unresolved issues between us," Tokayev added.
