The International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF), in cooperation with the Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has launched a new project entitled “Supporting the Expansion of Representation Opportunities for Azerbaijani NGOs at the United Nations.”
The main goal of the project is to expand the international representation of Azerbaijani NGOs, support them in obtaining consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), help them understand the working principles of UN treaty and charter-based mechanisms, and assist in the preparation of international reports in various areas.
At the initial stage of the project, an online questionnaire was developed to select participating NGOs, and the IEPF is cooperating with the National NGO Forum to increase the level of participation in the survey.

Based on the information collected from organizations that complete the questionnaire and apply for participation, their potential to engage in international platforms, alignment with the project’s goals, and eligibility to obtain consultative status with ECOSOC will be assessed.

Following the results of the survey, 20 selected NGO representatives will be granted the opportunity to participate in training sessions within the framework of the project. In addition to the trainings, heads of local NGOs that already hold ECOSOC status will share their experiences with the project participants.

At the conclusion of the project, participants of the training sessions will receive certificates, and their involvement in future projects and visits to international organizations is also envisaged.

The deadline for submitting the questionnaire is June 20
