Armenia may resort to military provocation against Azerbaijan with France's support, according to MP Ramid Namazov, Chairman of the Temporary Commission against Foreign Interference and Hybrid Threats at Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis,EDnews.
Ramid Namazov made this speech during a public discussion on "Hybrid attack called 'peace mission' on stability in the South Caucasus" held in the Milli Majlis.
According to him, the process of Armenia's preparation for some international military operations in the future under the guise of assistance from states like France, including missions to be conducted by the European Union, gives grounds to say once again that the creation of a new hotspot in the South Caucasus could develop according to two scenarios.
"One of them is that Armenia, with France's support, resorts to military provocation against Azerbaijan, and a new flame of war emerges in the region. The second consists of Armenia being involved in operations that the West will conduct against one of the neighboring states, for example, Iran," the MP noted. He added that after the Patriotic War, foreign forces’ interest in Western Azerbaijan - Syunik province has increased.
"Armenia's act of capitulation mentions the construction of new communication lines connecting Nakhchivan with Azerbaijan's western regions. The French, despite Syunik being the least populated region, state that it plays a central role in the South Caucasus. This is because Syunik borders Azerbaijan and Iran."
