A total of 10 buildings of various purposes are being constructed on Qarabag Street in the center of Shusha city under a public-private partnership framework.
A reporter from the Karabakh Bureau of “Report” who was sent to Shusha informs that the deputy executive director of the Shusha City State Reserve, Vugar Meherramov, shared this information with media representatives.
He noted that among the constructions underway are a hotel, office buildings, catering facilities, and the building of the Shusha Reserve Administration.
"The construction work is being carried out with high quality and in accordance with the general appearance of the city. The construction of these buildings is part of the steps taken toward the development of the historic Azerbaijani city of Shusha,” said the reserve official.
He emphasized that the multi-apartment buildings built during the Soviet era on Qarabag Street have been demolished. “In their place, new buildings are being constructed under a public-private partnership framework, following an aesthetic architectural style. Two of these buildings are commissioned by the Shusha City State Reserve Administration. Local and international architects’ recommendations have been used in the construction of these buildings. Shusha stones have been used in their construction to match the city’s historical and cultural monuments.”
He also revealed when the construction work would be completed: “The construction, which began two years ago, is expected to be completed by the end of this year.”
It should be noted that on March 27, President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva visited Shusha and familiarized themselves with the ongoing construction works on Qarabag Street within the framework of public-private partnership projects and the conditions created in the catering facilities.
