Italy is organizing the celebration of 60th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome in few days time. It will be the opportunity to relaunch the European project. European project is still alive that of course, we have to relaunch the political point of view. It cannot be just an intergovernmental union of a country, It should be a political union at least in some selected areas, security and defence, how to strengthen economic market? How to manage migration, at European level, refugees crisis. These are main areas where we need more political union rather than purely burocratical economic union.
There are excellent relations between Italy and Azerbaijan. We have now being implementing The first project of Transadriatic Pipeline. We are about to solve all the remaining technical points. Some few days ago the Ministrer of Industry of Italy came to Baku formally and informally to communicate with the authority of Azerbaijan that the project is going on.
I will organize with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan in Rome an event to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the independence of Azerbaijan. This will happen in April. There are many initiatives that testify the intensity of our cooperation.
