In a recent interview to Ednews, CEO of Ansaldo Energia, Fabrizio Fabbri, disclosed the company's ambitious plans for the installation of a highly efficient power plant in Mingechevir, Azerbaijan. Fabbri stated, "We are installing the most efficient power plant in the country in Mingechevir, with four units F plus 934. These machines will be in operation by 2025."
Highlighting the environmental impact, Fabbri emphasized, "Compared with the current power plant, we're going to increase the efficiency from 38 to 56%, saving the emission of 2 million tons of CO2 per year and 800 million cubic meters of gas for the country."
Regarding their commitment to Azerbaijan, Fabbri noted, "Last July, I signed a cooperation agreement between "Ansaldo", "AzerEnergy", ADA University of Baku, and the Polytechnic of Torino. This will create a technological pool to support Azerbaijan's energy infrastructure."
On the prospects of green energy ahead of COP 29, Fabbri remarked, "There is a general consensus about the need to reduce emissions, but it must be economically sustainable. COP29 will be a great opportunity to continue discussions on pragmatic solutions for energy security and affordability."
