A regular round of political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey is held in Ankara on Feb. 24, 2017, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
The delegation of the Kyrgyz side was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Emil Kaykiev, a delegation of the Turkish side was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey U. Yardym.
According to the agenda of the consultations, which included items on a wide range of bilateral relations, the sides stressed the importance of intensifying the political dialogue between the two countries at the highest level, as well as deepening cooperation in trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres of mutual interest.
As part of the consultations, the sides exchanged views on topical issues of regional cooperation, international security and cooperation in the framework of the UN, the EU and the Cooperation Council of Turkic speaking states.
