Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Iraqi counterpart Barham Salih appeared in a joint news conference in the capital Ankara following their bilateral meeting.
"[Maintaining] Iraq's political and territorial integrity is the foundation of our policy toward Iraq," Erdogan told reporters.
Erdogan said Turkey is ready to contribute to infrastructure and development projects in Iraq, adding that Turkey is also ready to boost cooperation in security and defense industry.
Erdogan said Daesh, PKK, and FETO terror groups posed threats to both Turkey and Iraq, adding that the two countries should also cooperate in the fight against terrorism.
The Iraqi president said on his part that Iraq expected Turkey's contribution in reconstructing terror-free regions in the country.
