North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) does not see any signs of a breakthrough on the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty, the alliance’s Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said on Friday following a NATO-Russia Council (NRC) meeting in Brussels.
"All members of the NATO-Russia Council agree that the Treaty has been crucial to Euro-Atlantic security. But the Treaty is now in jeopardy. And unfortunately, we have not seen any signs of a breakthrough," he said.
On Thursday, Stoltenberg said at the World Economic Forum that the alliance’s primary goal at the NRC meeting would be persuading Moscow to return to compliance with the INF Treaty.
