With its non-friendly policy toward Armenia and Armenian people, one-sided military-political assistance to Azerbaijan in the pre-context of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Turkey cannot play any role in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement process, MFA spokesperson Anna Naghdalyan stated, Eurasia Diary reports citing Aysor.
She said, Armenia’s Foreign Affairs Minister has already responded to Turkey’s statement.
Yesterday Turkey’s foreign minister Mevlut Cavusoglu met with the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs and urged them to intensify the efforts addressed toward the settlement of the conflict.
“The OSCE Minsk group must act more effectively in the direction of settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh issue. This solution must fully correspond to the principles of Azerbaijan's sovereignty, the territorial integrity and internationally recognized borders of that country,” Cavusoglu stated.
