A deep political crisis continues in Armenia, caused by the defeat in the 44-day war. Opponents of the incumbent Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who is called the main culprit of the defeat, take to the streets of Yerevan every day. Revanchist forces are also striving to come to power in Armenia, if they succeed, some experts predict a third Karabakh war, Eurasia Diary reportsn citing Azeri Daily.
Commenting on these forecasts to Azerbaijani journalists, the well-known political scientist Zardusht Alizadeh noted that Armenia is defeated and will not be able to fight.
'Armenia lacks the will and the ability to wage another war. As for the planned exercises in Azerbaijan, they openly talked about reforming the army. The Azerbaijani Army was built on the model of the Soviet army, and now we are switching to the Turkish model. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct exercises,' he said.
Zardusht Alizadeh also commented on the ongoing organisational personnel appointments: ;This is necessary, and there is nothing unusual about it.;
Recall, according to the plan approved by the President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, from March 15, operational-tactical exercises with the involvement of different types of troops will be held in the Azerbaijani Army.
The exercises, which will be held under the leadership of the defence minister, will involve up to 10,000 military personnel, about 100 units of tanks and other armoured vehicles, up to 200 rocket and artillery installations of various calibres, multiple launch rocket systems and mortars, up to 30 units of military aviation, and also unmanned aerial vehicles for various purposes.
