White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan made a phone call to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev at evening hours on May 17, 2021, APA reports.
Satisfaction on bilateral relations has been expressed during the phone conversation between sides. The importance of these relations from the provision of peace and security for both countries and region point-of-view has been noted.
Jake Sullivan expressed his concern regarding the latest tensions on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border and stressed the importance of resolution of such kinds of discords by peaceful means. He also stressed that constructive discussions of the sides are needed for demarcation of international border. Jake Sullivan expressed US loyalty to the establishment of peace in the region.
