The situation in the South Caucasus remains fragile, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkiye, Mevlut Cavcusoglu, said at a meeting with the young diplomats, Ednews informs.

The minister said that the Second Karabakh War showed that "frozen" conflicts can flare up again at any time: "The alternative to this is cooperation. As a global power, we must be active in all directions and turn crises into opportunities."

He said that the war in Ukraine continues, too: "No one knows how the processes will continue. It is very difficult to predict the course of events. Systems created after the end of the Cold War have a short life span."

According to Cavusoglu, it is too difficult to predict the future now compared to previous years.

He also criticized the trends of Islamophobia in Europe and said it was unacceptable.
