"It is extremely important that the delegation led by the Chairman of the Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Muhammad Laval Sulaiman, conducts the next joint fact-finding mission in Ganja, which was subjected to rocket attacks by Armenian Armed Forces during the 44-day Patriotic War. Here, the facts about the brutal killing of children and civilians will be brought to the attention of the international community through the OIC. The whole world will once again be aware of the terrorist nature of Armenia."
MP Konul Nurullayeva said this to Ednews.
According to her, the fact-finding mission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation visited the liberated territories before:
"The fact-finding mission investigates all the facts on the spot and prepares a report on whether it is possible to restore the historical monuments. The organization approaches the issue as the fate of historical works that are the cultural heritage not only of the Caucasus or of the Azerbaijani people, but of the whole world."
MP noted that to restore this cultural heritage, which Armenia destroyed and tried to damage for 30 years, is to serve history and culture:
"The report prepared by the Human Rights Body of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation will be sent to the whole world, the UN and human rights organizations so that the world will know what the real truth is. The world must know these truths. Unfortunately, most organizations avoid exposing Armenia by exhibiting Christian bigotry in the post-conflict period like they did during the occupation. Impunity during the occupation encouraged Armenia to increase the scale of acts of vandalism, illegal settlement, and illegal economic activity."
"UNESCO, like OIC, should investigate these facts in accordance with its mandate. Almost 3 years have passed since the end of the war, but only OIC conducts investigations in this region according to its mandate. All relevant international organizations should try to investigate the facts of the destruction of religious and cultural monuments and cemeteries belonging to Azerbaijanis by Armenia, collect information about Azerbaijanis who suffered as a result of occupation and rocket attacks, as well as prepare a report based on the results and present it to the international community", K.Nurullayeva concluded.
