On February 6, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov received the head of the Observation Mission of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA) Osman Mesten and other members of the delegation, Ednews informs.
At the meeting, opinions were exchanged on issues of cooperation within the framework of TURKPA, as well as preparations for the snap presidential elections to be held on February 7 of the current year.
Bayramov informed the other party in detail about the preparatory work for the snap presidential elections, including the measures taken by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and said that this election process held for the first time after the restoration of the sovereignty in all Azerbaijani territories is of historical importance. It was brought to attention that 26 polling stations were established in the liberated territories.
During the meeting, other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
