"This year is the 75th anniversary of death and 135th anniversary of birth of Nuri Pasha, who had exceptional services in the liberation of Baku from occupation," the Deputy Chair of the Labour and Social Policy Committee of Azerbaijan's Parliament Malahat Ibrahimgizi said at the meeting of Milli Majlis held today, Ednews reports.
The member of the Parliament noted that the time has come for Nuri Pasha's name to be immortalized in Baku: "Let his name be immortalized in one of the good parts of Baku, a street be named after him."
