Armenia's refusal to provide mine maps to Azerbaijan threatens the lives of citizens, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a meeting with the UNDP Administrator, Achim Steiner, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan to participate in the 11th Global Baku Forum, Ednews informs.
The meeting discussed the agenda of cooperation within the framework of the UNDP, current perspectives, issues arising from the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), as well as the regional situation in the post-conflict period.
The UNDP Administrator noted that Azerbaijan's achievements in the field of development are exemplary. According to him, the UNDP attaches importance to the fight against the threat of mines, including the discussion of initiatives in this direction.
The sides also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
