Nigerian government forces killed 212 militants in various parts of the country and arrested 252 more during an operation over the past two weeks, the head of the information department of the Ministry of Defense, Major General Edward Buba, said at a briefing, Ednews informs referring to TASS.
“Some 212 militants were eliminated, 252 were captured. During the operation, military personnel discovered and confiscated 233 units of various types of weapons, including 115 machine guns,” he said.
According to information, in the south of the country, government forces also seized 944,000 liters of stolen crude oil and 171,000 liters of illegally produced diesel fuel.
