Azerbaijan will host a joint briefing at the United Nations (UN) on the "VI World Intercultural Dialogue Forum", according to the US office of "Report". The World Intercultural Dialogue Forum is an initiative by Azerbaijan, supported by the UN Alliance of Civilizations, UNESCO, the Council of Europe, the North-South Center of the Council of Europe, and ISESCO. The forum highlights the importance of intercultural dialogue as one of the most urgent tasks in the world.
Since its inception in 2008, the Baku Process has been the only international and global platform in the field of intercultural dialogue. The World Intercultural Dialogue Forum, held in Baku in 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2019, has received recognition from the UN Secretary General and support from the UN General Assembly.
The VI World Intercultural Dialogue Forum, titled "Dialogue for peace and global security: cooperation and interaction", will take place in Baku on May 1-3. The event is organized by the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) in collaboration with the UN Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), UNESCO, and the UN World Tourism Organization.
