The Minister of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with the Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building in Asia (CICA), Kairat Sarybay, Ednews informs, citing the MFA.
The meeting discussed the possible priorities and plans of Azerbaijan during its chairmanship of the CICA in 2024–2026, current affairs within the organization, and prospects.
The parties also exchanged views on the transformation of CICA, the orientation of the organization's activity on issues of common interest and current issues, preparations for the ministerial meeting to be held under the chairmanship of Azerbaijan and the upcoming summit, opportunities for cooperation within the framework of COP29, as well as regional issues.
