Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Georgia's Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze signed a declaration establishing strategic partnership relations following talks in Tbilisi, EDnews reports, citing the Uzbek President's press service.
The two leaders also exchanged a package of bilateral documents covering cooperation in various fields.
Agreements were signed on customs cooperation and administrative assistance, information and communication technologies, digitalization, science and innovation, as well as vocational and higher education.
In addition, the governments of Uzbekistan and Georgia approved a cooperation program for 2026–2027 and a cultural cooperation program between the two countries' ministries of culture for 2027–2030.
The sides also signed several memorandums covering cooperation in economy and finance, agriculture, healthcare, environmental protection, tourism, and nuclear safety. One memorandum focused on implementing the E‑Permit electronic permit exchange information system.
