As it was reported recently, President of International Eurasia Press Fund Mr Umud Mirzayev attended the syposium held by Al Jazeera Centre for Public Liberties & Human Rights in commemoration of the International Day of Human Rights. As President and representative of IEPF he is going to deliver a speech in the panel named «Building Partnership and solidarity between Media Organizations and International Organization: opportunities and perspectives».

According to Eurasia Diary, the event was also attended by experts, editorial executives, and regional and international institutes’ representatives concerned with defending freedom of press and protecting journalists.

In his speech, Mr Umud Mirzayev outlined major issues with lives of journalists who face many risks in searh of truth and in their activities. He called all media representatives and international organizations to come together in partnership to support the protection of press freedom and fundamental human rights.

Durig the event, the IEPF president also touched upon the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict pointing out the Armenian aggression and occupancy policy in the territories of Azerbaijan.
