Yet some international events or prestigious sporting events held in our country, we have witnessed numerous political campaigns of some international organisations against Azerbaijan. This time, the adoption of the resolution "Political Prisoners in Azerbaijan" at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on political prisoners in the country ahead of the parliamentary elections and the recommendation to the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe is the next step to undermine Azerbaijan's international image.
Political analyst Ilyas Huseynov told to media during the winter session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) on the resolution "On information about political prisoners in Azerbaijan".
According to him, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, which is dominated by MPs representing the pro-Armenian position, has once again demonstrated its bias towards Azerbaijan:
"It is regrettable that the PACE cannot discern invader country from an occupied one. The names of those arrested for specific criminal offenses in Azerbaijan as political prisoners are unacceptable. Visit their ancestors in Kalbajar region on July 11, 2014. Why was PACE silent when Dilgam Askerov and Shahbaz Guliyev were taken hostage by the Armenian armed forces and illegally "litigated"? "The reasons for this biased position of PACE against Azerbaijan are not clear to the detainees," ignoring the inhumane behavior and their detention conditions.
The political analyst emphasised that some anti-Azerbaijani organisations in their reports and decisions are not based on any facts or the real situation in the country, but on the views of radical opposition. They continue their campaign against Azerbaijan. "
