Another provocation invented by Poroshenko, almost led to an open armed conflict, said Andrey Manoylo, professor of the Lomonosov Moscow State University, Doctor of Political Sciences in his exclusive comment to Eurasia Diary on the reaction of Russian side to Ukraine’s missile tests near Crimea.
“Poroshenko promised to fire Russian air space with anti- aircraft rockets which is a rude violation of Russia’s sovereignty and can be considered as an act of military aggression. That’s why Russian Armed Forces in Crimea have been put on a high alert. However, Poroshenko couldn’t endure stress and he changed air borders of the missile tests at the last moment. Probably, the reason for that decision is the conversation between Lavrov and Kerry and phone call of Kerry to Poroshenko afterwards”.
From his viewpoint, it is not a provocation that causes concern but the fact of reckless behavior of Ukrainian authorities.
