Zlatan Ibrahimovic lamented Manchester United's finishing rather than offer praise to goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic after Hull held on for 0-0 at Old Trafford.
The striker dismissed the efforts of the stopper who made a string of saves to keep United at bay.
Ibrahimovic singled out Juan Mata's critical chance for the hosts as a 'bad finish' rather than crediting Jakupovic for the save.
He told BBC Sport: 'I did not see any chances where it was difficult for the goalkeeper.
'It was not a good save from Juan Mata, it was a bad finish. Some saves he made for the cameras.'
Jose Mourinho's side were frustrated after dropping points in the race to qualify for Europe and capitalise on rivals slipping up.
United enjoyed 67 per cent possession and had 15 shots during the 90 minutes but were unable to beat the Bosnian-born Swiss keeper.
Whilst the Old Trafford club managed to improve their unbeaten run to 14 matches but the draw at home will surely be seen as a missed opportunity.
Ibrahimovic was joined by his manager in his post-match frustration after the stalemate as Mourinho stormed out of an interview.
With Tottenham and Liverpool being held and Arsenal losing, United spurned the chance to make headway in the table.
