Solskjaer's found his best team
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has not been shy when it comes to rotating over the festive period and he made nine - nine! - changes for United's FA Cup win against Reading.
But United have played their best football under Solskjaer with the following XI: De Gea, Young, Lindelof, Jones, Shaw, Matic, Herrera, Pogba; Lingard, Rashford and Martial.
Solskjaer has vowed to set his side up to attack at Wembley so it would be a surprise if he did not field that side against Spurs.
Making a strong start
It only took 11 seconds for United to go behind in the corresponding fixture a year ago. When the teams met in the FA Cup semi-final, in April, Jose Mourinho's side could only keep Spurs at bay for 11 minutes.
United often had to go behind to play to their full potential under Mourinho in 2018 and already Solskjaer has flipped that mentality on its head. Indeed, United have yet to concede first under the Norwegian.
Expect a strong start from a refreshed United.
Will Paul Pogba be fit?
After training with his team-mates in Dubai, it would be a surprise if Paul Pogba did not start this one - and Solskjaer will need his talisman to deliver again.
Pogba has been directly involved in seven of United's 16 goals under Solskjaer at a time when his side have had an average of more than 61% of possession.
United are unlikely to have that much of the ball at Wembley so the onus will be on Pogba to pop up and take his chances when breaking into the box.
Solskjaer vs Pochettino
It won't take the television cameras long to pick out Ed Woodward in the directors' box for this one and this game sees two leading contenders for the permanent United manager's job come up against each other in the dugout.
Pochettino is United's No.1 target and, tellingly, has refused to rule himself out of the running while interim boss Solskjaer is putting in one hell of an audition after just three-and-a-half weeks in the hotseat.
It would be wrong to see this as a play-off for the job but these are the games where Solskjaer's permanent credentials will really be judged.
The bench could prove crucial
When United needed a goal against Newcastle last month, Solskjaer was able to throw on both Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez. It did not take long for that double change to pay off at St James' Park.
Lukaku has looked sharp, scoring three goals in his last three games, and has not let being benched affect him. If anything, he has used that as motivation to change games as a substitute.
That is quite a weapon to have.
