Jurgen Klopp insists he does not need to remind his players not to panic ahead of the title run-in after Liverpool missed the chance to return to the Premier League summit on Sunday.
Liverpool had been in charge of the title race since their 4-0 win at Bournemouth in early December was followed by City losing at Chelsea.
But, despite the Reds losing control of their own destiny on Sunday, Klopp insisted he has never felt more confident that they are ready to go on and lift the trophy.
“I don’t think I have to give my players advice because they know it already,” he added.
“We are not little boys anymore, it’s not that we were completely surprised that we can play good football, that we are in the very, very top part of the table.
“But if you are there, you have to be ready for all the different things that happen. Sometimes we have a lead and everybody says, ‘That’s done’ 20 games before the end of the season - staying calm in these situations was very easy.
