The Dan Kolov-Nikola Petrov tournament in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, has ended.
Ednews reports that on the last day of the competition, two of our wrestlers went to the final match.
It took only 35 seconds for Maria Stadnik (50 kg) to meet Kazakhstan's Svetlana Ankicheva. The leader of the women's team won her first title this year by defeating her opponent with a complete advantage (10:0).
Freestyle wrestler Georgy Meshvildishvili, who performed at 125 kg, faced Iranian Mustafa Taghani in the decisive match. Having completed the first half with a 2:0 lead, the national team increased its advantage in the second half. In the end, Meshvildishvili won 7:2 and climbed to the top of the podium.
