Some 100 wagons produced by Tver Carriage Works for 10.8 billion tenge (about 105 million dollars) will be purchased by Kazakhstan in 2020, Eurasia Diary reports citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The Tulpar Talgo railroad equipment supplier of Kazakhstan plans to buy 46 wagons by the end of 2019 from the Russian side for 19.1 billion tenge. Their delivery is scheduled for the first quarter of 2020.
According to Deputy Chairman of the transport committee of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development Zhanibek Taizhanov, Kazakhstan bought 63 cars with reserved seats worth 24.1 billion tenge in 2019. The first batch of cars is functioning on Almaty — Mangistau route from July.
