Turkey’s vice-president Fuat Oktay in public speech touched current Turkish politics in Syria, Libya and Eastern Mediterranean Sea.
After Friday prayers, Turkish vice-president talked about the current situation in Syria, especially the replacement of Syrian refugees.
According to Yeni Safak, Turkish high official underscored the necessity for the establishment of safe zone in neighbor country for the accommodation of refugees who live in Turkey and displaced in Syria.
“We consistently want a land in their own territory where Syrians living in Turkey can return to and those who were displaced in Syria can go," Fuat said.
He also added that safe zone is key to prevent new wave of refugees.
Furthermore, Vice-president Fuat Oktay included Libya and Eastern Mediterranean issues in his public speech.
Turkey and Libya signed maritime cooperation agreement which is referred to determine exclusive economic zone in Mediterranean where maritime borders overlaps, as well as give rights to both sides to realize exploration in natural resources.
Oktay stated that Tripoli is recognized by the United Nations and the act between two countries was done under the conduct of the UN.
"We have registered our rights in our own marine area within UN," Oktay said.
Agreements between internationally-recognized government and Erdogan government are in retaliation to isolation of Turkey and Turkish Republic of North Cyprus in Eastern Mediterranean by five littoral countries.
Ankara said Turkey is ready to cooperate with all countries in Mediterranean expect Greece and Cyprus.
