Nitrous oxide will be banned in the UK under plans to crack down on anti-social behaviour, Michael Gove has confirmed.
Ednews reports that the Levelling Up secretary confirmed the ban while speaking on Sky News on Sunday morning, saying: “Anti-social behaviour can ruin lives.”
The plans are part of a strategy to curb anti-social behaviour – a central issue in the run-up to the next election.
Mr Gove said the policy was needed to prevent public spaces from becoming “drug-taking arenas” as laughing gas canisters are an “increasing scourge”.
