Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova slammed French President Emmanuel Macron's proposal to create an international coalition to fight the Hamas Group and called for diplomatic ways to resolve the Israel-Palestine conflict, Ednews reports citing Russian media.
"If France really wants to contribute to the work towards a ceasefire and bloodshed in the conflict zone, then it could support our position on the need to concentrate on political and diplomatic means of resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the Middle East conflict as a whole," Zakharova said.
During a press conference alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on October 24, Macron urged the global community to intensify their efforts in combating Hamas.
