Slovak Defense Minister Robert Kaliniak has informed NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg that his country will no longer supply Ukraine with weapons and ammunition, the Slovak Defense Ministry said in a statement, Ednews informs, citing TASS.

"Slovak Defense Minister Robert Kaliniak met in Brussels with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, whom he informed about the end of military assistance to Ukraine provided from the depots of the [Slovak] armed forces," the Defense Ministry said. "Slovakia, however, continues to provide (Ukraine) with a fairly wide range of humanitarian aid and technical assistance, the use of which does not result in deaths," the statement pointed out.

The decision to stop sending state military aid to Ukraine was made by the government of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, who took office on October 25. The authorities do not prevent private military contractors from supplying Kyiv with weapons and ammunition. According to the Defense Ministry, the country’s NATO partners respect the freshly minted Slovak cabinet's decision.
