In Paris on Wednesday the 7th of February, President Emmanuel Macron paid national tribute to the French victims of the attack carried out by Hamas in Israel on the 7th of October, Ednews reports referring to France 24.
It was "the greatest anti-Semitic massacre of our century", declared the Head of State, who also reiterated that France was fighting "every day" for the "release" of the three French citizens still presumed to be hostages of the Palestinian Islamist movement. "Their empty chairs are there", he said in the courtyard of the Invalides in Paris.
The ceremony is taking place in the presence of elected representatives of the radical left, whose attendance has caused controversy: for the families of the victims, the expected presence of several leaders of La France insoumise - who refused to describe the attack as "terrorist" - remains incomprehensible, even unacceptable.
