Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, Taleh Kazimov, took part in the 95th Annual General Meeting of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) in Basel (Switzerland) for the first time, EDnews reports.
"As the Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I was pleased to participate for the first time in the 95th Annual General Meeting of the Bank for International Settlements – BIS, held in Basel. The meeting provided a valuable platform for exchanging views on key global issues such as financial stability, innovation, digital security, and monetary policy. During the event, I held bilateral meetings with several central bank governors. These meetings focused on exploring potential areas of cooperation and discussing regional economic trends. Mutual understanding and the sharing of experiences play a vital role in supporting the sustainable development of our financial system," Kazimov wrote on X.
