Türkiye continues negotiations with Russia, South Korea and China on two new nuclear power plant projects in the country - in Sinop and Thrace, country's Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar said.
Ednews informs via Russian media that the construction of Türkiye's first nuclear power plant, Akkuyu, with the participation of the Russian side, is proceeding strictly according to schedule and the work on power unit No. 1 has been completed by more than 90%.
"There are two interested countries associated with the nuclear power plant project in Sinop - Russia and the Republic of Korea. We are talking about Thrace mainly with China, where we have reached a very serious point. Of course, Russia and Rosatom are related to Sinop. We have huge experience with Akkuyu (the first nuclear power plant in Türkiye), so we want to transfer this experience to Sinop. Our negotiations continue with both sides," he noted.
