Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova urged United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Director General Audrey Azoulay to condemn the killing of Russian war photojournalist Nikita Tsitsagi.
"We demand, whose direct responsibility is to respond to cases of attacks and murders of journalists, to immediately and decisively condemn this cold-blooded crime," Zakharova said, stressing the need for international organizations to respond to such incidents with strong condemnation.
Tsitsagi died on June 16 following an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
