The Russian Embassy in London has criticized the latest British sanctions targeting Russian ships, claiming they reveal a lack of innovation in the Labour Party's approach to foreign policy, the diplomatic mission said in a statement to Ria Novosti.
The embassy's statement suggests the sanctions reflect the Labour government's adherence to policies set by former Conservative Prime Minister Boris Johnson. "Instead of seeking constructive solutions to the crisis, the current government follows the same sanctions path as its predecessors," the embassy remarked.
Earlier, the UK added 11 oil tankers to its sanctions list for allegedly undermining Ukraine's sovereignty. The embassy reiterated that such policies would not hinder the development of trade and economic relations between independent countries.
