At a time when financial needs are sharply increasing, the Chamber of Accounts is facing a number of important challenges.
According to “EDnews,” this was stated by Member of Parliament Azər Əmiraslanov during today’s plenary session of the Milli Majlis, while discussing the Chamber of Accounts’ report on its activities over the past year.
According to him, these challenges mainly relate to the effective management of public finances, strengthening fiscal discipline, ensuring efficient oversight of budget expenditures related to state programs and investment projects, as well as maintaining budget sustainability.
The MP noted that the submitted report evaluated 348 activities of the Chamber of Accounts based on 98 indicators in line with its strategic plan:
“In the future, it is essential to classify these indicators according to quantitative and qualitative criteria and ensure that both groups of indicators complement each other.”
