Maksim Shevchenko: "It is the Armenian diaspora that is causing havoc, and the people..."

"Philip was waiting for the arrival of Pashinyan, who had a meeting with Putin in Yerevan for 3 days. He is currently in Tbilisi, and later he will visit Baku."

Political expert and journalist Maksim Shevchenko stated to Ednews about the visit of US Secretary of State's Special Representative for the Caucasus Philip Thomas Reeker to Yerevan. He also noted that the creation of the Russia-Azerbaijan-Turkiye alliance in 2020 has worried many forces.

"Obviously, Turkiye is currently fighting on both the Syrian and Iraqi fronts. Also, there is tension in its relations with Greece. The escalation in Karabakh has created a big problem for Turkiye. On the other hand, these provocations are considered a serious pressure and threat against Azerbaijan. The last one is related to the events that we know is the pressure against Moscow. All these events are either threatened by Pashinyan, or pressured by revanchist forces against him through this means. Currently, there are conflicts between the government and the people within Armenia. But in my opinion, the real Armenian people, unlike the political figures, are in the interest of living in peace and friendly neighborhood with Azerbaijan and Turkiye. The interest of the people is not to die for Vardanyan or some American, French or Armenian billionaires. Most of them want peace with Azerbaijan and Turkiye and, of course, the development of the country."

Speaking about Armenian businessman Ruben Vardanya's speech on Karabakh, the Russian journalist said that he directly appealed to the United States and France and called on them to intervene in the defence of the so-called regime.

During the conversation, M.Shevchenko also spoke about the Armenian diaspora, which constantly speaks for the interests of the West. He noted that the diaspora is trying to break the peace in the region because they do not need stability.

"What they need is that the Armenians living in the country are constantly on the verge of problems and war. And then they trade these problems in Washington and Paris. I think that this is directly the joint intrigues of the US and France against Turkiye, Russia and Azerbaijan, and the Armenian people. The people are hostages of the dirty games of the Armenian diaspora. If the authorities had no interest in war, otherwise Pashinyan would not have been re-elected prime minister."
