In a major escalation of regional tensions, the Israeli Air Force carried out a series of precision strikes early this morning targeting Iranian military infrastructure in the cities of Tabriz and Kermanshah. According to statements from the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), the operation resulted in the destruction of more than 35 missile storage and launch facilities.

The military operation involved at least 25 fighter jets, which reportedly penetrated Iranian airspace to strike what were described as “critical infrastructure sites for the storage and launching of missiles.” These facilities are believed to be integral to Iran's medium- and long-range missile program.

The strikes are part of what appears to be an ongoing Israeli strategy to degrade Iran’s missile capabilities, particularly amid rising fears over Tehran’s potential for regional retaliation or the expansion of its military reach through proxies.

Both Tabriz and Kermanshah are known to house key military installations. Kermanshah, in western Iran, has previously been identified as a hub for ballistic missile storage, while Tabriz, located in the northwestern part of the country, plays a strategic logistical role in Iran’s defense network.

No immediate details have been provided by Iranian authorities regarding casualties or material damage, although local sources report significant explosions and fire outbreaks in the targeted zones.

The international community is closely monitoring the situation, concerned that the growing confrontation between Israel and Iran could spiral into a broader regional conflict. Tensions have been steadily building in recent months, marked by drone strikes, cyberattacks, and increasing rhetoric from both sides.

This latest operation by the IDF underscores Israel’s resolve to act unilaterally against what it perceives as existential threats from Iranian missile developments and its wider military infrastructure.
