Colonialism will cease to exist in the future, Abbas Abbasov, Executive Director of the Baku Initiative Group (BIG), said during the international thematic conference “Towards the Decolonization of Guadeloupe: Challenges and Prospects” held in Baku.
According to Report, he emphasized that one of the consequences of colonization is the policy of assimilation:
“The people of Guadeloupe are also fighting against assimilation. In the future, colonialism will no longer exist. In a few years, the international community will be more aware of Guadeloupe’s language and religion. Because we believe that overseas territories will gain their independence,” he stated.
