United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) on Sunday issued a stark warning about the deteriorating conditions in Gaza.
According to the agency, shelters in the besieged coastal enclave are facing severe overcrowding, leading to unsanitary conditions. The UN body further highlighted the scarcity of clean water and the accumulation of solid waste, emphasizing a growing threat of disease spread.
The news came after UN General Assembly President Dennis Francis called on member states to consistently provide financial and political support to UNRWA as several donor countries suspended their financial contributions.
