At its May 1 plenary session, the Milli Majlis passed a law in its third and final reading requiring guardianship and custody authorities to enter their decisions into the Electronic Government Information System within one working day.
According to EDnews the bill introduces amendments to the Family Code, Civil Code, and several other laws including “On Registration at Place of Residence and Stay,” “On the Rights of the Child,” “On Road Traffic,” “On Social Protection of Children Orphaned or Deprived of Parental Care,” “On Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency and Neglect,” and “On Social Adaptation of Persons Released from Penitentiary Institutions.”
The changes aim to enhance child protection and simplify interagency coordination in the provision of public services.
Thanks to this new regulation, authorities making decisions in the best interest of children will be required to promptly transmit relevant data to EHİS, ensuring that other institutions have rapid access to vital information.
