A Melbourne artist has paid tribute to Beyoncé's maternity shoot by depicting her in a gigantic mural.
The graffiti artist Lush used a photograph from the singer's already-iconic pregnancy announcement as inspiration for his painting.
'Five stories of @beyonce,' the artist wrote in an Instagram caption. 'Does it look like I'm pregnant too?' he commented on the Instagram picture, which shows him rubbing his round belly in front of the enormous Beyoncé portrait.
In an email to Daily Mail Australia, the artist known as Lush wrote that he decided to paint the photograph because it's the most liked Instagram pic ever.
'Makes sense to co-opt that for myself while rubbing my hands greedily together,' the artist said.
It took him 'five long days in the harsh heat wave that's hitting Australia right now,' he said.
'I now look like a red lobster, the sunscreen melted off me while up 20 metres high in a cherry picker.'
The mural is located at 46 Easey Street in Melbourne's Collingwood area, according to the culture blog Pedestrian.tv.
Beyoncé announced she was pregnant with twins on February 1, revealing the news through a high-concept photo essay on her website.
The twins' big sister, Blue Ivy Carter, was born in her father Jay Z's hometown of New York in 2012.
Beyoncé Knowles-Carter was born in Houston, Texas in 1981 and rose to fame as a member of the successful group Destiny's Child.
With her most recent solo album, Lemonade, Beyoncé became the first artist ever to top the Billboard 200 list with six albums in a row.
Lush has previously raised eyebrows with his political murals, including depictions of Pauline Hanson in a hijab, and Donald Trump riding a bald eagle.
