Polish airline LOT plans to increase the number of flights from Warsaw to Baku, Tbilisi, Yerevan, Tokyo and Seoul, Ednews informs referring to Polish media.

Breaking a nearly four-year hiatus, LOT is poised to resume regular flights on the Warsaw-Athens route with the inaugural departure scheduled for April 11.

Marking another milestone on June 4, the airline plans to launch its maiden flight to Saudi Arabia, offering three weekly connections to its capital, Riyadh.

Also in June, the Polish carrier will resume regular flights to Daxing Airport in Beijing, aiming to restore a link launched in mid-January 2020, which was then temporarily severed due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The airline is committed to servicing this route four times a week.

LOT has also decided to open a regular connection from Warsaw to Tashkent, with the inaugural flight to the Uzbekistan capital slated for takeoff on February 23.

In a bid to enhance connectivity, the carrier is also eyeing an increase in flight frequencies to Tokyo, Japan's capital. Currently, operating four flights per week, the carrier plans to expand this to six weekly starting in April.

Additionally in April, the frequency of flights on the Warsaw-Seoul route will be increased from four to six times a week.

Expanding their reach, LOT also wants to increase flight frequencies to the capital cities of Georgia - Tbilisi, Armenia - Yerevan, as well as Azerbaijan - Baku.

Venturing into the summer season, LOT will additionally establish several direct connections from Radom Airport, located about 100 km from Warsaw, offering travelers the opportunity to explore destinations such as Preveza in Greece and the capital of Albania, Tirana.
