Azerbaijan's growing potential and regional role in space create important opportunities for strategic cooperation. The statement came from Sebastian Masurak, a spokesman for the Hungarian leading technology company 4ig Space and Defense Technologies, at a Space Technology Conference in Baku.

"Although we are a private company, we are responsible as a national technology champion, and we intend to play this role in space. We believe that cooperation with developing countries such as Azerbaijan will both strengthen the spirit of partnership and contribute to technological progress, "Masurak said.

According to EDnews, a total of 9 satellites are planned to be produced under the Foosat program implemented by 4ig - one in Geo and eight in LEO orbit. He stressed that the program envisages the creation of a surface infrastructure and information ecosystem, and cooperation with Azercosmos is of special importance in this area. "It is impossible to implement projects on this scale alone. Therefore, we attach special importance to partnerships, technology and knowledge exchange. Our cooperation with Azercosmos is very valuable in this regard.

"This cooperation will further strengthen the position of both us and Azerbaijan in the global space economy," he added.

It should be noted that the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Azercosmos and covers small satellite production, ground surveillance projects, joint participation in European space programs and space innovation initiatives.
