Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations Ramin Mammadov will participate in the conference held in Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on the occasion of the 20th UN Day of Vesak.
EDnews reports that influential representatives, state officials, scientists and politicians from more than 80 countries will participate in the event, which will be held on May 6-8.
State officials, heads of religious organizations, representatives of scientific circles and the public, and religious figures from many countries around the world will attend the conference in Uzbekistan dedicated to the topic "Maturidism - a teaching of tolerance, moderation and enlightenment."The conference will discuss the interpretation of universal values, tolerance and moderation in the Maturidi teaching, as well as the relevance of these ideas in the 21st century.
Parallel academic events will also be organized within the framework of the conference, which will be rich in international cultural demonstrations, Buddhist exhibitions and academic panel discussions.
