President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Bilal Hayee.

Last month, on 23 August, they sent a subversion group which was subsequently captured by our army. The head of the sabotage group was arrested and said in his statements that the main target was to attack civilians, commit acts of terror and attack our servicemen. We saw them preparing for war.

Ambassador of Pakistan to Azerbaijan Qasim Mohiuddin thanked Azerbaijan for condemning the air strikes on Pakistani territories, according to EDnews.

My remarks, statements, interviews and speech at the UN General Assembly a few days before the new aggression were a signal to the international community to stop Armenia. I said that Armenia was clearly preparing for a new war and should be stopped, and so it happened.

"We greatly appreciate Azerbaijan's unwavering support of Pakistan," the ambassador said, adding in the Azerbaijani language, "Azerbaijan and Pakistan, like two brothers, will always be united!"
