The expansion of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Moldova in investment, trade, energy and other areas was discussed.The Minister noted that the discussions took place at a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of Moldova, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Doina Nistor.

“EDnews” reports that this was stated by the Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov on his account on the social network.

“We met with Ms. Doina Nistor within the framework of the Annual Meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.We considered the directions of development of economic relations with Moldova, the prospects for expanding cooperation in investment, trade, energy and other areas,” he emphasized.

Bolea spoke about priority areas of cooperation in a number of areas, including natural gas supply. The importance of long-term contracts in gas supply in terms of energy security and sustainability was emphasized.

Detailed information was provided on investment-based cooperation opportunities in the bioenergy and biogas sectors in Moldova, the existing green power in the country, and the renewable energy auctions being held. The availability of opportunities for Azerbaijani companies to participate in projects to be implemented in these areas was brought to attention.
